Those are pretty cool, and the T-1000 is fairly similar to how I did my T-1000 in my Future-War miniset. ( accesspace.proboards.com/index.cgi?board=ccg&action=display&thread=187 ) Mine didn't have as many peripheral events associated with him, but I do like the way yours functions as a grab bag of sorts. I think yours is a bit better, and would have made for a pretty neat deck.

Really nice cards!
Some of them look REALLY familiar! Were they posted before on the old AvP Dreamcards section back when the game was around?
I particularly like the Terminator stuff (as thats what i'm currently going through and designing). Do you have anymore that were going to come out?

Yep, many of these were posted on the old site while it was still being updated. Then when AVP sorta fell apart I would continue to send out new cards through the mailing list for a while after that. So a bunch of these will probably look familiar who remember my work from back then. But, now that I've found this site and people still have an active interest in the game, maybe this'll prompt me to start working on some new cards from T3, T4, and the AVP movies, eh? Anyway, since you asked, here's more T-2 related stuff. First off, Galmorzu and I could never quite figure out what to do with this female T-1000 character. The name and the stats are just placeholders... they might work, or we might have changed them if we came up with anything better. Anyone have any suggestions? Next, here are some human characters. Billy-X wasn't going to be part of the set but I include him here just because he's from the same comic that Bishop III is from (as you can tell from the art I think) and I always thought he was a cool crossover idea. I love crossovers. And here are some human items. Holster again is from the same comic as Bishop-III and Billy-X. Terminator Components was still subject to some debate and editing when we had figured out exactly how to handle the whole issue of Importance regarding Young John Conner, Future John Conner, Sarah Conner from T1 and Sarah from T2. It was confusing and no one had figured out a clear solution at the time, but I made this card mock-up to serve as a stand-in while we worked things out. And then lastly here are a bunch of location cards (using the AVP formats, yes, but the rules and resources are set up as per Terminator rules). I don't htink any of these were my personal ideas, I just put together the cards out of ideas the other designers came up with.

So other than a few mentioned as not (like Billy-X), are all these actually from designing for the real T2 set then?

So other than a few mentioned as not (like Billy-X), are all these actually from designing for the real T2 set then? For the most part. Some are ideas that were already finished before I joined the design team (such as Judgement Day, Ground Zero, Bishop III, Heavy Explosives, Desolate Playground, Observation Point, Fields of Flame, and Silent Highway) that I had no input on. For most of these cards the original designers even specified what screenshot to use for the picture ("Burned-out swingset"; "skeletons in cars on highway") and all I had to do was follow their instructions to put the card together. Other times there was all the card mechanics but no good picture to use (Like Bishop III) so i would just look through my A/P/T comic collection for something suitable. Some cards were almost finished, or finished but I later added some extra rules to support crossover games. Such as The Corral and Open Desert. Both cards were originally on the T-2 set list and had all the same rules as you see here, except for the stuff that mentions Rogues, Ship locations and other cards from the AVP game. But since the set was cancelled I figured, why not make these as compatable as possible? And then there are cards like Bill-X and Doorman that are entirely my own creation, and made after we already knew there wasn't going to be another set released. Like I said, I just stuck them here because they are mostly Terminator-related and I thought you'd like to see 'em.

ok, cool. Its just neat to see what might have been, I've been hungry for T2 spoilers since Galmorzu was talking about what he remembered from the set.
What about the cross locations? you change them to be Cross or was there a revamp of the terminator location system planned or something?

What about the cross locations? you change them to be Cross or was there a revamp of the terminator location system planned or something? You know I honestly can't remember. I made these cards about a almost decade ago, remember. Oh, and I can see if I can dig up a copy of the spoiler list. I know it was a closely guarded secret and all but I honesly can't imagine anyone getting angry if anyone found out what ideas we'd had for cards at this point. I'll take a look around my HD and see if I still have it. For this post, I'm putting up cards related to my all-time favorite comic mini-series, "Aliens vs Predator vs The Terminator". Unless Sigourney Weaver reprises her role as Ripley 8, this comic seems pretty close to being canon. I loved it. It was actually this comic that got me to start collecting A/P/T comics, and prompted me to start making dream cards at all. You'll notice that some of these look a bit amaturish compared to my other cards; it's because they were the first I made. Also, some I still never came up with a good idea for stats or game text, so they remain unfinished. If you can think of any ideas, please post it and maybe I can finally finish some of these off. I'll be presenting the cards in the order in which the images appeared in the story, though I won't repost cards that I've already posted in this thread (Invisable Army, Wrist-Blade Sheath). So, the story opens with Call and some unnamed Rogues having tracked down Ripley 8 (possibly on Earth, but I don't think the name of the planet is ever given. Whatever.) They are there to recruit her for a mission, threatening to give her location to the Earth Government if she does not cooperate. Ripley reluctantly agrees. So the group stows away aboard a Government science-ship where they have intel that something involving Xenomorphs is happening. The opening fight scene between the Rogues and the Marines (Rogues win) provides us with a couple new named Rogues and a piece of equipment. Nothing special, but maybe useful in the right deck: So they storm their way through the ship, and make their way to Dr. Trollenberg's lab, where the shipments of Xenomorphs-in-cryogenic-tubes have been sent. When they burst in Dr. Trollenberg immediately opens fire (killing Saud and Echo, incidentally) and Ripley and Call are quite surprised to discover that Trollenberg is an android of some sort. Trollenberg looks like he is about to snap Ripley8's neck when a cloaked Predator appears, and takes Trollenberg's head off with a throwing disk. Trollenberg is destroyed, but apparently he had just completed his project before the Rogues arrived: the Alpha Hybrid. As near as I can tell, it is a highly-advanced Terminator that incorporates Xenomorph body parts (they are techno-organic, remember), and this somehow makes it stronger. Also, they have the ability to absorb inorganic material (like items, or chunks of walls) to heal damage. So, this Hybrid Terminator fights the Predator in hand-to-hand combat. The Terminator takes a Plasma-Caster shot to the chest, but heals by absorbing some lab equipment. He then yanks the Predator's arm off (what is it with Predators losing arms? It happens all the time) and blows a hole in the hull. The Predator gets sucked out into space (muttering a Predator swear-word as he goes) and Call and the Rogues are forced to run away (but luckily, they've got Trollenberg's severed head). The Alpha Hybrid commandeers a small ship, and grabs some Chestbursters and Facehuggers for the road. While he's flying towards his destination he uses his spare time to build a second Hybrid (the as-yet unmade in card form Beta-Hybrid). Meanwhile, Call hacks Trollenberg's CPU. It is interesting to note that Call doesn't recognize the Terminator design, saying that it is "Amazingly advanced in some ways, and in others it's a real antique!". Anyway, so upon connecting to the Terminator's CPU chip she immediately encounters a viral program left there by John Conner's resistance. It explains that Trollenberg was one of the last set of Terminators created by Skynet, when the war was almost over and Skynet had realized it had lost. These "Crypto-Terminators" were programmed to remain undercover in human society, becoming scientists and Generals and CEOs, and to wait for a time of "huge scientific advancement" when they could seize that new technology and use it to rebuild Skynet and win the war. So Call explains to the others what she's learned, just in time for a Predator ship to decloak and for a trio of Preds to beam aboard their ship (apparently by Aliens: Ressurection time period, Predators have Transporter technology, like on Star Trek). They ignore the Rogues and abduct Ripley8, taking her back to their ship. There, they probe her (in her brain, not anywhere else... the "Love Interest" card was a joke that just happened to use art from that scene), and use her connection to the Xenomorphs to locate the nearest Hive, knowing that would be where the Hybrid is headed. The Predator ship heads for it, and Call's ship is somehow able to follow them (they never explain how Call's ship is fast enough, or why the Predator's don't cloak their ship). Ripley, I guess having earned some respect for having survived her probing, gets blessed by the tribe's shaman, given a spear, and allowed to join their hunt. The two Hybrids arrive at the "Black Asteroid" (a Marine base where they have a whole nest of Xenomorphs frozen in cryotubes). They use stolen codes to get past most of the outer security, and when the Marines catch on the two Terminators just blast their way through the rest of the base. Once all the humans are dead, they quickly set up shop and start turning the frozen Xenos into more Alien-Terminator Hybrids. The Predators arrive and a huge fight between an entire Predator tribe and the Alien-Hybrids starts. The Rogues also show up, but do exactly nothing, just to watch I guess. Ripley8 helps the Predators but sees that they are slowly losing against the Terminators. So, in a nice emotional moment where you can see how much she hates to do it, Ripley turns the power off on the Cryotubes and sets all the Xenomorphs free. The Xenos run into the fray attacking everybody. The Terminators find that they are quite weak against their acid-blood, and generally suck at fighting Xenos in hand-to-hand. The Predators on the other hand are great at fighting Xenos, and are able to target them to maximize the amount of acid getting splashed on the Terminators. Most of the Terminators die, the acid sets off a chain-reaction-self-destruct, and a small number of Predators retreat to their Mothership. The Rogues run away, and Ripley is about to as well but sees the Alpha Hybrid about to escape in an escape pod. She stows away, the entire Black Asteroid explodes. Knowing that the Alpha Hybrid is the last one, she kamikazi attacks it (in a scene that parallels the ending of the original Alien) and fails. Luckily though, while the Hybrid is killing her, Ripley8's acid blood eats through the controls of the escape pod, causing it to explode and kill them both.

Sorry, Been hammering out new Halo cards. The complete cards all seem pretty good, so I'll give a shot at filling in some gaps.
I'd say make Alliances a Condition, and make it let you use a Human Main Character as a member of your Hunting Pack. Or a card for multi-player that allows 2 players to team up. Like they become allied characters for 5 turns and can benefit each other. Naturally, doesn't work on Aliens.
Vagrant: Rogue. Adds Prohibited while at a location with Equipment/Weaponry? Maybe Lethal and gets a free Knife, with close combat bonuses?
Thought of something else, am I overlooking something or is concealed Equipment (from Echo) pretty much worthless? And I like seeing RPs used for something.

Definitely would love to see the spoiler list. I second this! lol I thought I recognized some of those cards, man I loved you when I was playing this game! I had all your cards printed out etc and was gutted when they took down the site. You were the reason I started doing my own Dreamcard stuff (hosted somewhere on this site all be it only in text form) - heck I clearly stole some of your card designs and included a thank you to all the people on the old DC section. I'll see if I can dig it out. EDIT: accessspace.110mb.com/fanspoilers.htmlI'll make some comments on your cards later as I gotta go to work now. Edit - added link

heh heh. Yeah, I've definitely seen some of those cards before. I know for sure I've got the Alpha Hybrid floating about on my HD. I'm loving having another cardmaker on the site, man. I fully intend to do some more myself at some point, I've just had a ton of other stuff going on lately (mostly end-of-semester crap) and so my crossover set has been somewhat delayed.

I would appreciate some comments and suggestions on my cards, please. Okay, some comments from me, card by card Insult to Injury – Nice and simple with a double use. Maybe it needs a can’t be played if Honor is 0? Fear Factor – Not sure what the other cards do, but nice Coward/Brave idea United We Stand – Nice Idea but not sure about in Practice. Can’t see Humans working with Aliens ever, but then I look at the abomination of AvP: Deadliest of the Species and retract that comment… Rainstorm – Love it Learning Experience – Again, nice and simple Invisible Army – I like the idea of being able to build a deck based round this Genocide – I like the general idea. Multiples of the same faction playing was something soreley missing from the original rules Clash of the Titans – Need to see it playtested. Seems a little powerful to me Crocodile – I like. I’d toil with the idea of reducing the Restriction to just Submerged but that’s just my preference for avoiding Specific Card Restrictions if I can (I hate the whole ‘Insert Card name here’ can be found at this Location on Expansion cards) Crocodile Hybrid – I like Angry Grizzly – Again a nice card. I’m liking the increase of Honour if these Animals are killed in Close Combat. Grizzly Hybrid – Nice simple card. Unsure though if I’d ever play the two of them. Seems like a lot of hassle to get a character that isn’t that much better than a normal Alien Warrior. Maybe that’s just me? Lion – Again, a nice simple card. Outcasts – Not sure I like the Objective rule you made. Maybe make it more like the Missions in Terminator? I’m a big fan of the Missions and wish something similar could be done in AvP. I like the limited Predator Items though. Hidden Watcher – Nice and balanced in my opinion. Tiger Stripe – I like the theme with this guy Dishonoured Elder – Hmm, not sure with this guy. An extra 5CP seems a little excessive and whilst the Alternate Victory Condition is nice maybe a little to good? I’d have to playtest this guy Soul Eater –I hate Tokens on characters. This is just a personal thing I have and I hate all the book keeping you need to do with characters like this (High Adjudicator, Newborn). I can see what you’re doing though so I’ll leave this one alone Lady of the Night – Hmm… interesting. Lots of Resources (which always concern me) but looks on paper to be fairly balanced. Goliath – Firstly, great name! I love the sheer brutality of this guy. However I’m a bit concerned of the sheer damage output of this guy. Would need to playtest him a bit. I could see in a Hunting Pack (assuming Outcasts can be used in packs?) the damage could be huge Blind Faith – I love the concept of this guy! Not sure on some of the Resources but I do like this guy, especially in a Hunting Pack El-Diablo – I like him. Nice additional Victory Requirement Makeshift Breather – Firstly, I assume you have ruled Outcasts can use Equipment items as a replacement for the Pred Items they lose? I always thought it was ruled Preds couldn’t use anything other than Pred Items? Either way I think it should be allowed for Outcasts to use ‘replacement’ items (and if I’m wrong hey, who knew!). Other than that I like the card Makeshift Hunting Tools – Urghh, more bookkeeping. I see the purpose of the card but my inner hatred for bookkeeping pops up again (same reason I hate Makeshift Weapon). Stolen Items – I like it. Maybe change 'nullified' to 'canceled' to stay in line with other similar wordings? Wrist Blaster – Love it, if purely for the flavour text! Wrist-Blade Sheath – A much needed addition Predator Axe – I like the Pros and Cons to this card. Balanced in my opinion and I can see a deck being built around it Stalking Tactics – Maybe needs a CP cost? Makeshift Club – I like the picture, love the card Stolen Trophy, & Hanging Corpses – Make them Missions and I’m sold! ;D Tracker – Don’t like the Objective bit, but love the idea of a Predator who hunts Outcast Predators Alien King – I like how you’ve done this guy. I always struggled on how to do the King some justice Rogue Male – Would need to playtest the the CP cost and number of turns needed to wait but on paper looks good Aggressive Behaviour – On the minus, more tokens. On the plus, a nice simple use for them! Gruesome Death – I like the quote and the effect is suitable and nice! Indomitable – I like this a lot One Man Army – I’m very split on whether to include other property references on cards. I’d be tempted to drop the Terminator reference and then make a Terminator card with a similar effect (which it was). But that’s just me and my preference for keeping the properties separate but compatable (heck that’s a whole new topic in itself). The card itself I feel is undercosted at 2 CP. Dominate – Hmm, not sure on this one. I don’t see anything wrong with the card, but also no real reason to play it in a deck Mating Instict – I don’t like the reference to a ‘King and Queen in play’. Having played many CCG’s I like things to tie up reference wise. I’d be tempted to say Alien King and Alien Queen but that would rule out all the other queens. Mind you I think Queen should be a Resource anyway and that would solve the issue… ::)Other than that I love the effect and can see building an Alien King themed deck being quite fun to play. Successful Birth – Interesting! I like it, rewarding if you do manage to pull it all off! I’ll read the Terminator and crossover cards later but hope some of my comments were slightly helpful.

Thanks for the input CplWilks, that's just the sort of post I was hoping for! I'll address some of the concerns you brought up; Fear Factor – Not sure what the other cards do, but nice Coward/Brave idea Panic and Terrorized are cards from AVP Premier and Ressurection, respectively. They both just cause supporting characters to move, and cost CP. I always thought it was far too weak of an effect to cost CP for. The other cards mentioned were all names of potential dream cards; Intimidate can be found in the T2 cards a few posts later. United We Stand – Nice Idea but not sure about in Practice. Can’t see Humans working with Aliens ever, but then I look at the abomination of AvP: Deadliest of the Species and retract that comment… Ah, see this card was one of the ones I put together from information leaked from Atmosphere, so the specific wording of it was not something I came up with. I think what it means to say is that you can take a Main Character from another human faction. Basically the idea being "lets put aside our differences and show these Aliens that humans kick butt!", so you get to have a Rogue on a Marine team, or put Cpl Hicks on a Resistance squad, ect. Crocodile – I like. I’d toil with the idea of reducing the Restriction to just Submerged I thought of that too, but then it presents the rather silly notion of watching the cast of Ressurection wading through the coolant tanks about to start that awesome underwater scene, when out of nowhere a crocodile goes by... Grizzly Hybrid – Nice simple card. Unsure though if I’d ever play the two of them. Seems like a lot of hassle to get a character that isn’t that much better than a normal Alien Warrior. Maybe that’s just me? I dunno, +2 power over a normal warrior with no drawbacks? and a point of armor, too? It could be alot of work to take down the grizzly, true (though if you can get the grizzly into the hive I bet the Facehuggers wouldn't find him to hard to take down). Outcasts – Not sure I like the Objective rule you made. Maybe make it more like the Missions in Terminator? I’m a big fan of the Missions and wish something similar could be done in AvP. It's funny you say that, because it's not too far from my original ideas but generally what I was hearing alot of at the time was how unpopular mission cards were. Having only made 3 Objectives thus far I don't think it would be too difficult to redo them as missions if you think that would work better. The primary difficulty is in cases like Tracker and Stolen Trophy that would require other cards being brought in. I dunno, but I appreciate the topic being discussed. I would love to finish out the rules on Objectives/Missions for the Outcasts so that they would be a fully playable faction. the 5 bonus CP was a reflection of the Honored Elder's "double starting CP", which could be more or less than the bonus 5 CP depending on the scenario. And as for the bonus victory condition, keep in mind how rarely you'll be playing against a Predator deck using Honored Elder. Although, yes, it is one other thing to keep track of, both with Soul Eater and Alien King's "Agressive Behavior" card I chose to use Gore tokens to change them from being a unique feature on the Newborn to being a more fully developed mechanic for the game as a whole. In time, I was hoping to have other cards that would manipulate Gore tokens and use them for other effects. Lady of the Night – Hmm… interesting. Lots of Resources (which always concern me) Lady is probably my favorite Outcast made. The idea here was to make a very finesse piece, who makes up for her lack of raw power (low Power, plus limited ability to deal or resist damage) with lots of tactical options. Goliath – Firstly, great name! I love the sheer brutality of this guy. However I’m a bit concerned of the sheer damage output of this guy. Would need to playtest him a bit. I could see in a Hunting Pack (assuming Outcasts can be used in packs?) the damage could be huge that is the idea, balanced primarily by his innate -1 to hit and -1 hand size. So yes, he can potentially do tons of damage if he hits, but many targets will just be too fast for him. I would love to see him with a Predator Axe attack a Skynet H/K though. Makeshift Breather – Firstly, I assume you have ruled Outcasts can use Equipment items as a replacement for the Pred Items they lose? I always thought it was ruled Preds couldn’t use anything other than Pred Items? I believe the rule is that Predators can only use Predator items, which is still true in this case. Makeshift Breather and Makeshift Hunting Tools are both Predator Items (hence the border and card type) that just happen to have the Equipment restriction. Same as human items being only in human decks, though they can have a variety of different restrictions on where they can be found (like Tavern!) Dominate – Hmm, not sure on this one. I don’t see anything wrong with the card, but also no real reason to play it in a deck mostly it's just something else to put in a King-centric deck. If you've gone to the trouble of maturing a King (possibly at the cost of some drones) and putting plenty of combat events into your deck, you're going to want to make sure your opponent doesn't just avoid him. So this is a way for the King to go set up camp in your opponent's starting area and impose some sizable penalties if he's being ignored. Mating Instict – I’d be tempted to say Alien King and Alien Queen but that would rule out all the other queens. I did want to make sure that the King could target and be targetted by Young, Warrior and Cloned Queens, as well as any other Queens that might be made by us. The only potential problem I could see resulting from this is if the Terminator cards ever produce Kings and Queens for the Covert Ops regiment. It'd be kind of weird for "King II" and "Queen IV" to experience a sudden urge to mate, and then start attacking each other, lol. Anyway, thanks for the detailed response and I hope you like my other cards as much! I'm sure with some discussion we can work out a practical solution for the Outcasts' victory conditions.
