With all the fan made expansions listed on this site (huge thanks to Axlotl), I was wanting to compile all the rules into one AvP rule book. Combined with the official rules, to make it easier to see how all the rules work together. The last official rules I have, are from here - Official Rules - Version 2 Which was saved on November 8th, 2001. A lot has happened since then. Using this as the starting point, and with your help, I hope we can compile a rule book which contains the official rules, along with Atmosphere, erratas and fan made expansions. I have started putting together a rough PDF , to give you an idea on where this project will hopefully be headed in. I have no doubt, there will be plenty of amendments to come Black = Official Orange = Official Errata Blue = Atmosphere Green = Fan Made The yellow boxes are place holders to be filled in later. Either with images or snippets of text (profiles, scenes, specs). -------------------- Here is Version 1.0, in several PDF formats: Print Ready version - Single pages (size suits both A4 and US Letter, so can print at home) Printer Spreads version - Printer Spreads (can take this a place like Officeworks (Aus) or Office Depot (USA) to print and staple into a saddle stitch book)

This looks really good so far. I would also take a look through all of the expansion's official scenarios for amendments too. An example being the Resurrection scenarios which mention data capacity for androids and card amendments. The Atmosphere scenario has a lot of vehicle information and amendments on the power loader.

I posted some more rules for Prey in that set's thread. These are the last new rules for the Prey set. The remaining cards are plugging gaps and do not introduce any new mechanics.
Rules:
Prosthetics
Prosthetics are found like any normal item. Prosthetics are assigned to a body part as described by keyword in the card text. (Arm Prosthetic, etc.) To use a Prosthetic it must be Linked to a character either by rotating the recipient and rotating a medic or by rotating the recipient while being at an infirmary or lab location. To signify a Prosthetic has been linked it is rotated. Linked Prosthetics cannot be readied under normal circumstances. A character cannot have a prosthetic linked to them if they already have a linked prosthetic of the same keyword. When a Prosthetic is linked to a character any injuries with a resource matching the Prosthetic keyword are discarded from the character. An injury is not a requirement for using a prosthetic.
Modal
Cards with the Modal resource have two mutually exclusive effects labeled Mode A and Mode B. The card will describe how the Mode is set or changes. Mark the current mode with a marker.

I was thinking of doing a separate scenarios supplement, after we sorted out the rules.

I rushed this new version out, for all of you to go through, before I left for holidays. Draft v0.2 I haven't added any other official errata yet.
The Resources/Restrictions in red, are words I need to check up on. I have rules for them, but I don't recall any cards which use those words on them. Unless someone can steer me in the right direction?
The last line in Doctor coloured red, is actually a question to be asked. Should the word Doctor be read as Physician? The location Medical Lab from Resurrection uses Physician.
The Version 2 rules got a bit messy towards the end (almost like they rushed it to get it out also ). So I had to shuffle a few things around, and omitted some stuff.
E.G. Civilian had description - "Joe Blow John Q. Citizen." To me, that adds nothing to the rules. Civilian is a Resource/Restriction word, with no special rules.
Programmer isn't a Resource or Restriction. It is a name of a Support Character.
Let me know of any issues you find. Even pointing out were some official errata need to go. Once we have majority of any corrections required, I will then start to change the layout, to make it look "prettier."

The Infirmary/Security Guard thing has to do with different print runs of Premiere. The Doctor resource is only present on some Infirmary printings. Most copies that I own have no resources. I would keep Doctor in, but flag it as deprecated/unused without the physician change. Engineer is similarly printed on some versions of Engineering - which should be disregarded as it is removed in most printings and conflicts with my usage of the Engineer resource, and there are printings of Operations with the Security resource instead of Secure.

All my Infirmary copies have Doctor. All my Engineering copies have Equipment Engineer (obviously they are meant to be two separate Resources, not one). And my copies of Operations have Security.
Funny enough, my Security Guard copies have Secure, not Security.
All the scanned cards I have, back from the Gatling Engine days, are all the same as my cards mentioned above. Does anyone here have images from the Tabletop Simulator, and see what scans they are using?

I checked some of the CCG Trade sites.
Two of them have the reprinted cards for Infirmary, Engineering and Operations. One of them are using the same images I have.
All of them have Security Guard with Secure. Does anyone have a Security Guard with Security? If not, I'll change the wording for Security to mention Operations instead of Security Guard? Or just add Operations as well?

I just dug through my extras and can confirm the alternate security version does exist.
(Disappointingly, I was missing a copy in my collection binder but both of the copies I found were all scratched up.)

When I remade Premiere and Promos I used the excel sheet here as the corrected spoiler file:
I thought I had taken in to account most of the updates but had no idea about the location cards having different versions of resources... the sheet contains some columns which include html markup used by my nanDECK script but it's still very readable.
If there are errors in this I can rebuild the specific cards and put corrected versions on my drive.

When I was going through other fan made sets, created into Word Docs only, I came across Oxen mentioning Frigid as well. Oxen comes from Cityscape, same as Heat Wave, so I have added Oxen to Frigid. I also found, Frigid was going to be introduced through a fan made set called Rite's Of Passage. My guess, this was going to be released before Cityscape, but didn't happen? With my search through these files, I didn't find any reference to Defiled, Neomorph, Redoubt, or Treachery. These 4 words are mentioned in this post - Comprehensive Axlotl Rules Summary

I thought I had taken in to account most of the updates but had no idea about the location cards having different versions of resources...
This is one reason why I was wanting to put together this rule book. I fell out of the AvP scene for quite a while, which means I have missed a lot of information/erratas in the process.
Hopefully with doing this project, we can collaborate all those fixes for everyone, so we all don't have to go searching the internet for answers, all the time.

I think I was doing Rites as the follow up to Cityscape, which was worked on alongside the end of cityscape. It was scraped fairly early and most cards were reincorporated in later sets. I'm not sure if any actual Frigid locations ever snuck in anywhere.
Treachery, Defiled, and Neomorph are Hidden Agendas, Redoubts are in Lost Colony.

I see them now! I missed Treachery, as they appear on Events, not on Main Characters, Items or Locations, and I forgot to check Events...
However, with the other 3 (Defiled, Neomorph, Redoubts), I missed these as I haven't printed out Lost Colony and added them to my collection! Fireteam as well (plus Prey). Must do this asap!
