Answer: When you rotate to declare an attack with this weapon, roll a die. Apply the results to the attack roll. In other words, you roll the die twice. 3/20/98

Does this mean he rolls a die for each character in turn or that all characters automatically take 8 damage? If the former, since all plus to hit event cards last until the end of the round, all modifiers would apply to every role, correct?
Answer: You roll the die once and then apply that result to all characters in question. Each character will obviously have their own unique defense. 1/13/98
Question: Grenade Launcher. One of its restrictions is M41A Pulse Rifle. Suppose that a Marine is searching the deck (at the Armory, say) and finds the Grenade Launcher but the character does not have the M41A Pulse Rifle. Does the character find the Grenade Launcher and carry it around, but unable to use it until it is attached to an M41A Pulse Rifle? (thx BorgKing)
Answer: He just can't use it without the Pulse Rifle. It can be found can carried with no restriction. 1/23/98
Hand Welder:
Question: I have question about connected locations. If I blow up Heat Exchanger, after having sealed my Marines off in say....the Machine Shop, do I still get toasted? By sealed off, I mean by using Hand Welders.....
Answer: Actually, connected is defined in terms of adjacent locations. Since the Hand Welder makes locations no longer adjacent, then your Marines are safe behind the welded door! 3/23/98
Question: If a Marine was welding using the Hand Welder gets killed before the required time is up, what happens to the Half used Hand Welder? Can it be picked up?
Answer: Yes. 4/26/98
Question: Can a Marine using the hand welder decide half way through a weld that he no longer wants to continue to weld? Can it be picked up?
Answer: Yes. This just aborts the process, and the marine could just use the welder elsewhere. 4/26/98
Hunters Caster:
Question: I was reading the restrictions on the hunting packs and it says no camosuits and plasma casters. I was just wonder if that included the hunter's caster that is coming out with rez or can hunting packs have the hunter's caster?
Answer: Countdown restricts camosuits and plasma casters from the Hunting Pack. Hunting Caster is -legal- for Hunting packs in the Countdown Scenario. 4/7/99
Hunters Mask:
Question: Any hidden alien (using hidden movement) has +1 defense because it is hidden. If the opponent was a Predator using a Hunters Mask(Thus allowing him to 'see' hidden tokens) would this negate the Aliens +1 defense bonus?
Answer: No, The Alien is still hidden. The Hunters Mask allows the wearer to 'view' the hidden token not 'reveal' it. The bonus still applies. 3/29/99
M42A Scope Rifle:
Question: If a Marine armed with a scope rifle (M42A Scope Rifle) fires the rifle, the rifle is rotated when fired, and the owner must rotate to ready it again, right? Is he allowed to make more than 1 attack without rotating to ready the rifle? Or does the scope rifle make an intrinsic restriction on free attacks?
Answer: You have to be able to rotate the scope rifle to make each attack, including free attacks. The technique required for using the scope rifle just does not lend itself to rapid fire. Pick another weapon if you're using free attacks. 1/30/98
Question: Lets say I got a scope rifle rotated on Sgt. Hart, can I in the movement phase pass it on to another marine and rotate him and then give it back to Sgt. Hart?

Suppose that a Marine is searching the deck (at the Armory, say) and finds the Grenade Launcher but the character does not have the M41A Pulse Rifle. Does the character find the Grenade Launcher and carry it around, but unable to use it until it is attached to an M41A Pulse Rifle? (thx BorgKing)
Answer: He just can't use it without the Pulse Rifle. It can be found can carried with no restriction. 1/23/98
Hand Welder:
Question: I have question about connected locations. If I blow up Heat Exchanger, after having sealed my Marines off in say....the Machine Shop, do I still get toasted? By sealed off, I mean by using Hand Welders.....
Answer: Actually, connected is defined in terms of adjacent locations. Since the Hand Welder makes locations no longer adjacent, then your Marines are safe behind the welded door! 3/23/98
Question: If a Marine was welding using the Hand Welder gets killed before the required time is up, what happens to the Half used Hand Welder? Can it be picked up?

Question: Any hidden alien (using hidden movement) has +1 defense because it is hidden. If the opponent was a Predator using a Hunters Mask(Thus allowing him to 'see' hidden tokens) would this negate the Aliens +1 defense bonus?
Answer: No, The Alien is still hidden. The Hunters Mask allows the wearer to 'view' the hidden token not 'reveal' it. The bonus still applies. 3/29/99
M42A Scope Rifle:
Question: If a Marine armed with a scope rifle (M42A Scope Rifle) fires the rifle, the rifle is rotated when fired, and the owner must rotate to ready it again, right? Is he allowed to make more than 1 attack without rotating to ready the rifle? Or does the scope rifle make an intrinsic restriction on free attacks?
Answer: You have to be able to rotate the scope rifle to make each attack, including free attacks. The technique required for using the scope rifle just does not lend itself to rapid fire. Pick another weapon if you're using free attacks. 1/30/98
