I am completely new to using Unreal Engine but I want to teach myself and make for all of us an AvPvT CCG digital port game that looks similar to the layout of Magic The Gathering Arena and/or Blizzard's Hearthstone. Any feedback or tips on how to tackle this large obstacle would be much appreciated. I already have Unreal Engine 4.7 and CCG Toolkit 1.2. I'm starting to read the documentation on CCG Toolkit and watching tutorial videos.
I know Lackey and Tabletop simulator are a thing but they just aren't up to standards on what the game could potentially be; especially when it comes to character movement markers and hidden characters and events changing the board.
Thank you in advance.

Cool. I don't know anything about Unreal, so I can't help there, but I have done a little thinking about adapting the engine to a digital format. I always thought it would be neat to abstract the game board with models and map tiles rather than cards, like a graphical representation of each room with 2D or 3D models for each character in the room.
That'd be pretty involved though.
