This is a new medium sized set, based primarily on Alien: Isolation, Alien, the AvP movie, and AvP2010. The emphasis is on Isolation, featuring many areas from the game as locations.
It introduces the Corporate faction, sharing part of the Marine card pool, with an emphasis on Synthetics and research points. Corporate characters are divided between characters loyal to the Company, and those who "just work there".
It also introduces a scrounging mechanic for characters with the Mechanic resource, were those characters can collect components from locations and use them to craft certain powerful "Rigged" items.
Aliens get the addition of Alpha characters, powerful aliens that replace normal drones, but are limited to only 1 per hive.
Irradiated locations: Radiation hazards damage characters and weaken them temporarily.
A small subtheme of manipulating different characteristics of locations is also present.
The set is almost finished with initial drafting, and will soon move into making images. You all can chip in with which sections of the set you'd like to see first. You can pick mechanical themes or which games/movies you would like to see cards from.
Potential spoiler blocks: Corporate Loyalty Corporate Research Corporate Synthetics Other Corporate Cards Rogue and Marine Support Scrounging and Rigging Alien Alphas Alien Support Predator Support Locations, Resource Manipulation, and Barriers
or, if you prefer to go by material sources: Alien: Isolation Alien Aliens Alien: Resurrection Alien Versus Predator Prometheus AvP:2010 Aliens: Colonial Marines Original Content

A torch weapon that can get past barriers by going through high or low locations would be cool. Locations with Sevestapol terminals to change conditions in locations such as security cameras or air supply. An item that can make synthetics ...twitchy. And maybe something that allows Aliens to make captured characters into facehuggers without a queen or breeding chamber. I love where your going with this set. Alien Isolation was really cool.

Nevermind. I read that too fast lol. I saw "you can all chip in" and then my eyes jumped to "mechanical themes or which games/movies you would like to see cards from." Thought you wanted ideas.

Also, this set will negate anything done in the "Rites of Passage" AvP movie set I never finished. I'm pulling certain cards from it, some of which are being rewritten. Most key characters from that movie will make their appearance in this set.
The missing Cloned aliens from Resurrection are in this set also. (Hugger, Burster, Young Queen).
123 cards as of now, with the option to expand.

very cool use of components & scavenging i think its a great idea. I don't think character resources got explored enough so its nice to see new stuff for Mechanics to do.

Now, I don't see this as an actual issue, more of a quirk of the character, but can Parker, with his no MP cost to scavenge, gain multiple of the same component from each location he enters? I mean, he still has to rotate to craft the items, so, again, its not likely to have a huge impact on gameplay

Ah, yes. I forgot to mention that you can only find 1 component per character per location each turn. This prevents excessive early stockpiling, and sitting at 1 location for 3x components a turn with a speed 3 character.

That makes sense, too. While its technically likely that a hospital would stockpile things like the SCI Injector, its still more balanced that way. Its still fun though with, say, Parker and Brett (nice synergy). Now, which character has to spend MP to transfer Items? The original, or the new owner?

Receiving character pays the MP for the swap, like a normal item.
