Ok, I have hundreds of cards designed for this card game that I used to create while bored at work ;D I'm currently trying to put it all into a decent format for Ultimate Predator to use. Anyway, one of my first decisions was the use of the 'City' resource. I see Axotl uses it as a sub-resource of Outdoors. Originally that was my thought as well, however it just never sat right with me. The thought of having a hub going; Jungle - Jungle - Conveniance Store - Jungle - Jungle never really sat right with me I therefore went with my idea of this; City - City locations may only be adjacent to other City locations and Entry locations. This would effectively make it much like the Outdoor, Indoor resources Any thoughts or input? Cpl Wilks

I am bothered by that also, wilks. the solution i came up with was that all outdoor location must also have a resource for their terrain type. Then, each scenario must specify which terrain types are legal. All the Atmosphere outdoor locations would be errated to be "Jungle" locations under these rules. Then the planetfall scenario rules would state that you can only play "Jungle" outdoor locations. Other examples of this kind of resource would be Frigid from the AVP Movie set, and City from Cityscape. I would have to go through Acheron again and redo some locations to make this work though. I'm thinking Wasteland as the resource, maybe Colony also. as well as Derelict

I liked the idea of having a sprawling Jungle next to a City etc. However, I can see the problems that could come from the AvP Snow locations being able to be played next to a jungle ;D I'll think on it some more

yeah, i don't think there is a perfect solution. as to the jungle next to a city thing, that could be covered by a scenario's rules, that would still be an option. I'd be interested to hear from Galmorzu if they where going to make any rules like this for the real Cityscape.

I think my biggest problem back when I was playing the game were unfortunatley the scenarios #sad#
I remember many times someone turning up to play with a deck designed for a different scenario. From a CCG players perspective, I want to be able to meet random people, say i've got a deck and be able to play. The scenario restrictions on deck construction made that impossible.
I really like the Scenario's, don't get me wrong - mayby we need to make a 'Generic' scenario where all cards can be used, much like 'Contact' was designed for originally.
I to was wondering how City locations were going to be covered in Cityscape, hopefully Galmorzu will know #cheesy#

Well, the scenarios are a problem for large scale, but they are a savior for small group play. I wouldn't stay as interested in this game as much as i would if i only had 1 way to play it. MTG, and other long-term CCGs wind up developing a similar issue with multiple formats. I've shown up at our local CCG shop on a slow day looking to play some MTG, only to find that the other people are not playing my format, so it would be a no-contest loss for me.
