The special rules for the scenario state the following:
Especially for this Scenario, Supporting Characters MAY be found at Hive locations (Restrictions permitting).
Does this mean I can find an Engineer at Hived Engineering?

According to the Aliens Predator Rulebook, Version 2.0,
So the "Engineering" in Hived Engineering counts as a resource that matches the restriction of the Engineer. This only works in Dark Siege/Aftermath, though (so yes, you are correct)

Thanks, must of passed over that in the new rules.
In doing my Dark Siege playtesting one card found in the Alien starter has confused me...Protecting the Queen. The card grants +1 Speed and +1 Power to Warriors at the same location as the Queen. Does this mean the Warriors gain a +1 Defense, Resistance, and Damage bonus as well?

I would believe so.
So, Protect the Queen would technically grant all Alien Warriors at the Queen's location +1 Damage, +1 Resistance, +1 Movement, and +1 Defense. (although the +1 Movement is useless since you want your Aliens to stay at your Queen's location) Note that bonuses to Attributes from Event Cards will cumulate, even though they are also effecting abilities. So playing Protect the Queen and Defend the Hive will give your Aliens +2 Speed and +2 Power.
This rule may seem overpowered, but remember that there are few Event cards that grant bonuses to Attributes.
Have fun! 'morti

It makes sense given the spirit of the card (queen gets attacked and warriors get agitated) but I guess wasn't sure if the card only effected attributes as it seemed to be a powerful card if played at the right time. It is limited to once per player per turn, so now I understand why. Thanks again.

That card is pretty much a staple for Aliens decks. It would deter aggression as you beef up your hive's defenses. They limit it to once per turn since it lasts for the whole turn.
But because it is an attribute boost for Speed and Power then you can still further boost with other events that provide bonus and increases to your Aliens defense, movement, damage, and resistance as most of those events only last 1 phase or 1 round anyway.
