That's certainly a different response from a company!.
I'd be interested in contributing some money to gain the licence, just depends on how much other people would add.

Business loan? If folk are being serious, wouldn't it be easier to just...make a company and do it via that? But what is it...we'd be buying both Aliens/Predator and Battlefield? How much interference would we be facing from Fox? I mean...I do have PR contacts if need be...I think Galz and Wilks are better off helping us out here with knowledge. Realistically, how many K are we talking?

wow.
this is... wow...
If this does happen, I think the best way to do it is an online format, assuming one can program the needed code.

I think we should do both. Personally, at least as a trial. Both print and online form although Online would obviously be the more popular. But like I said...business? Company?

Well, could do it online, then ship out sets of printed cards in a redemption type setup. Cash out your online stuff for physical cards. Then you don't have to try and push a product through distributors or whatever. could also do a sort of online ordering only type thing, sell directly from source and circumvent stores.
theres a lot of ways to do something like this.
Also, if its an online format, a free version, with, say, only starters, is probably not a bad idea. maybe free beta testing, try and draw people in.
I think AVP is a good CCG to have online, since, physically, there is a lot to track, and it would work neater with a program, imo.
While i could not offer money to invest, I would help.

Count me in , it's worth trying to get the rights unless they have too high $ expectations

Online is starting to become an easier medium. Easier to compete and play. Plus, like you said, online beta which'll give people a chance to learn the game and be drawn in. I definitely like the idea of a redemption program and maybe, have print promos, like autographed cards and etc.

We need Galz and Wilks who have experience with this! Personally, I still think the smartest option is to actually make a company, get a business loan and buy the license that way.

Hey gang, Well what do you know, I got a reply from Reality Games. They wanted to know what we could offer for the AVP and Battlefield licenses. I basically told them that it was unlikely that we would be able to make much profit on this game even if we can get the license from FOX (which would be a miracle). However, I figure we could offer a % or future profits. I also offered to work out a one time payment for the game or to give them some of my Engineering services. (Hey, I am licensed in several states...) Anyhow, we will see what happens. How serious is this group about trying to re-print the game and bring about the Resurrection? Thanks, Duncan Wow.. i'm currently speechless. I'm pretty sure there are several people on here who would be very serious about this! I would probably say Online is the way to go - printing cards can get VERY expensive. The biggest expense would have to be the license. I'll try and speak to someone I know who has previously worked for a CCG company for some insight EDIT: Galz will be the best person to speak to, I was just a mere Scout who ran demos

Well, it takes the collectablity out of it without print cards. I still think should do both.

IMO, worry about online first. If it is a success, then print cards.
