Anyone here play it? I personally love it. I partipated in the Online beta but haven't played it since. I opted to go for the physical cards but turns out it's not that popular here in the UK. All the events are even at the top or the bottom of the country. But well...
The 2nd expansion was released last month and I got a booster and starter box off of Ebay for it.

I didn't even know there was a physical version of the game. I'd probably look into, except i'm trying to cut some costs right now, school and all.

One booster box and 4 starters and I only need 36 more cards to complete the expansion - System Lords. I just wish more people in the UK would do tournies. #sad#

I just wish more people in the UK would do tournies. #sad# Unfortunatley from what I have heard the game pretty much failed. I believe a lot more people play the online version than the card-stock version. I don't even know any stores that stocked it. I think a large problem is the same problem that Terminator suffered from - releasing a game based on a pretty much dead license is not a good thing Hopefully the recent expansion may help things pick up EDIT: Have you been here? www.stargate-tcg.co.uk/index.php

...A dead license? You have no idea. SG-1 may be ending as a TV series, but they're aiming at 2 DVD films a year with the first due out early next year. Atlantis is still going. The novels are some of the most active I know. The problem isn't the interest is dying in Stargate - far from it - it's that everyone prefers Online play. It's easier. But nothing can beat the feel of cards.
And yes, I have. I made it.

I hear nothing but bad things about Mayby it's just me then lol ;D I just feel that had this come out during the hey day of SG-1 it would have done a lot better. Mayby it's just my dislike of the series clouding my judgement I wish you all the luck though Hicks with getting this going in the UK

It's not SG-1. The game is licensed as Stargate which includes all aspects of the franchise so we're taking Atlantis, movies, the new series coming out. It's got life in it. It's one of my favorite CCGs. It really captures the feel of the show. It's also a bitch trying to balance the decks. Yeah...if you don't like the shows, you wont feel for the game really. It's very Stargate in it's gameplay. And as for the website, I've given up with it. The community isn't big enough for multiple websites. I've jumped ship to another one. www.stargatetcg.org for anyone interested.

One of the tournament prizes - the game seems to be doing really well in the US, print-wise - is a sort of tease for how the game will branch out into the other series. With more than 200 hours of TV, I doubt they'll be running out of ideas soon.
The only problem is print playing the UK. UK Ebay is devoid of the game. I've had import them myself. Most of the tournies have been up north in Scotland or down south near London. Us middleland kids are neglected.

I just got my Rise of the Ori booster box. Looks like a pretty damn good set. Not had chance to play with ships though. But they look like they're gonna make things pretty interesting. Also got the 2 demo decks that Comic Images put out before the game's release. They're snugged nicely away in my sleeves. And if anyone just wants to have a looky loo, I've been working on my own dreamset based on the Stargate movie. You can see what I've done here - stargatetcg.proboards40.com/
