That's... a much cleaner way to do it than pretty much all the others I've seen, and makes it similar to but distinct from the Trap Tests I used for RE...think it could work out fairly well. I'm assuming that failing the Area Effect test counts as a hit, otherwise Blastwave wouldn't do anything to non-primary targets.

Yeah, you're correct. I might reword that.
EDIT: I opted for the term "affected". Any character that is hit by the primary attack or fails the check on the secondary test is considered affected by the attack.

Is the UPP something introduced or expanded on in Fireteam? The image says "no", but the effect works well for a team-based concept like it..

The UPP is mentioned in a bunch of lore objects, but have no visible presence in game beyond some UPP manufactured weapons. This is why the only UPP card with a Fireteam image is the Medved shotgun, but also why I wanted the UPP to be Fireteam's main contribution to the Rogue faction.
The UPP were introduced in Gibson's A3 script, and became more popular with the recent adaptations of that script (IIRC, an audiobook and a comic), and then they were semi-canonized by the RPG. I believe Fireteam is the first piece of visual media to include them as a real faction in the universe.

The Fireteam set is fully designed, and most images are actually complete, but I want to wait for the next Fireteam DLC before I finalize the set, adding cards for that content drop. I'll keep doing small sets of previews until then.

Introducing the single toughest member of any alien hive: the praetorian. You might want to consider packing some anti-armor cards... Regarding the set's timeline for finalization, it'll probably be mid-December. If Season 2 of Fireteam isn't out by then, we'll still finalize the set around then.
