Well, most of the stuff I modeled off either existing Events (since these guys don't get to use any of their own), or some playstyles for Alien players. Huge groups of Aliens are painful no matter what, so that got an event. Cloned Aliens get an event to help Hiving, and I've actually managed to Hive a Marine player's Armory and Weapons Locker in a single game. So much hatred...
Anyways, onto some mechanics for using that Pred-Alien Queen...
MOVEMENT ROUND: Frenzied Aliens that are part of a Pred-Alien's Hive don't like to sit around and protect the Hive, they actively work to add to their numbers. The Pred-Alien Queen uses a much simpler scheme for movement:
1. If there are opposing characters present, don't move.
2. No opposing characters present, move to the closest Location with characters present, using the following:
2.1. Move to Location with fewest Main Characters; if tied:
2.2. Move to Location with most Supporting Characters; if tied:
2.3. Move to a random Location among those tied above.
Non-Queen characters use the following scheme for movement:
1. If there are opposing characters present, don't move.
2. No opposing characters present, but opposing or uncontrolled characters at adjacent Location(s):
2.1. Move to Location with fewest Main Characters; if tied:
2.2. Move to Location with most Supporting Characters; if tied:
2.3. Move to a random Location among those tied above.
3. No characters at adjacent Locations:
3.1. At a Hive Location: Move to nearest non-Hive Location.
3.2. At a non-Hive Location: Do not move; Aliens that make it to this step will attempt to Hive the Location, using the rules as the "regular" Frenzied Aliens.
Whenever an Alien character card enters a non-Hive Location, put a [Frightened Citizen] in the battleground at that Location.
This breaks down pretty easily. The only time this Queen doesn't move, is when it's eating faces (or impregnating them, see the card itself). The other Aliens in its brood continue to hunt as well, but since there's no Breeding Chamber in play, they a) don't go back to regroup and b) don't use Hive movement. They instead just stalk prey. Finally, these Aliens are hunting prey, as they seek out those [Frightened Citizens] to use as breeding pots.
UPKEEP ROUND: The Pred-Alien and brood use a more specialized version of maturation. When they perform their Aliens Mature Step, use the following scheme:
1. Roll Infection/Burst rolls for all character Infected by one of your cards.
1.1 If the Infection was caused by a Facehugger or Event card without the Queen restriction, choose one random Alien character:
1.1.1. If there is a Frenzied Alien at the same Location, one at random gets a Group token.
1.1.2. If no Frenzied Aliens are at the same Location, choose one at random from the closest Locations, and add one Group token.
1.2. If the Infection was caused by the Pred-Alien Queen or a card with the Queen restriction, do the following twice:
1.2.1. If there are Frenzied Aliens at the same Location, one at random gets a Group token.
1.2.2. If no Frenzied Aliens are at the same Location, choose one at random from the closest Locations, and add one Group token.
When choosing random characters to add Group tokens to, Lineage must be observed: A Human character that bursts, regardless of the source of the Infection, can only add tokens to character cards with Lineage (Human).
DISCARD AND DRAW ROUND: This does not change based on which Frenzied Queen is being used.
COMBAT ROUND: This also does not change based on which Frenzied Queen is being used. However, I will elaborate on the text of the Pred-Alien Queen. Her first attack, the one that Infects, is to be used first if any non-Alien character present has Speed 0. This means that even if there are fourteen Child characters present (the one from Premiere), it will still use this attack first if a valid target is available. It will spawn more Aliens rather than outright kill you.
[Frightened Citizen]
Speed 2; Power 2
Human; Unlucky
Command 0. Importance +1 for Human players.
Frightened Citizen is uncontrolled as long as there are any non-Human characters at same or adjacent Location.
