Honestly Im more or less an elitist, and prefer the Premiere edition of the game. I feel that the second expansion was rushed, and failed by comparison to the premiere. Plus the resurrection film was just plain awful =( I really like the layout of Premiere, and thought that a total overhaul was unnecessary. I thought the card layouts for Resurrection set were more clearer and cleaner compared to Premiere although I think the CGI was the weakest part of it, but since they were on a budget, that could be excusable. And the Resurrection film was awful, pretty much anything after Aliens just don't live up to what it once was. Although all in due's time we'll see how things turn out for Prometheus since Ridley Scott is back ;D

oh totally, ive seen a few images of Prometheus that leaked from comicon, and it looks rad!
I used scanned images of the cards from "Trade cards online" to make my cards using MS Paint.

I thought I saw on the AVP main page of this site (not message boards) where there was a link to templates that Axlotl made. Perhaps he can provide the link.

I agree, I much prefer the Premiere layout visually. The stats, resources, etc. are much more prominent and I like the flat, strong solid colors of the main character cards. The Resurrection cards I've always found kind of distracting visually, and the game text and stats aren't as prominent. Though, I do realize that the Resurrection cards increased significantly the amount of space available for the game text, which was necessary. I tweaked the Premiere templates to shrink the image space in order to increase the text space.
I really like all of your cards, though I'd have to agree that Vasquez seems a bit too strong if with Drake (+3 with a Smartgun before any event-card boosts is a pretty reliable means to kill a Predator, especially with Hicks / Somebody Wake Up Hicks to get her attacking multiple times a turn). Though I like the idea of giving her some synergy with Drake, especially given that Drake is the obvious "B-Team" choice of Smartgunner with Speed 2 and Unlucky. So Vasquez giving some incentive to still run Drake as well, despite his penalties, is a neat idea. I agree giving her +1 to Hit with Drake is probably a balanced solution.
As for Ferro, I think her card is spot-on accurate with the films, but there's not much incentive to run her. Perhaps giving her some sort of game text that's pilot-esque would boost her playability quite a bit. Maybe something like "Instead of moving normally, rotate during the Movement Round while at an Entry location to move her group to any other Entry location." That would certainly make her an interesting choice for a Marine deck, despite her lack of martial prowess.
I LOVE the images you use for your cards, where do you find them all? Brilliant work, keep it up! I'm going to try running some of your characters.

those are all great ideas! I appreciate the props too =) Im definitely going to be going the plus one route with vasquez, and a couple of the others are going to be tweaked as well. Im excited to hear you will be play testing a few of them, i cant wait to hear how they worked out! Most of the images ive used were from the Dvd, just running through frames, and picking up what i though looked best. Ive gotta say thats a fantastic idea for ferro! Im absolutely going to start working on that! Here is an updated version of Pvt Hudson:

Sticking with the tradition of the Premiere edition obviously having pilots but no vehicles it was a challenge to think up game text for Ferro.
I really wanted her game text to give you the ability to more or less "Fly" youre guys around to different entry locations. However with the "Adjacent" part in there, youre still open to picking up unwanted hitchhickers!
All that, and neatly wrapped up in four lines of game text =)

Sorry I haven't added any updates for a while. I've been out and about. I'm currently toying with the idea of making an Alien 3 scenario, with scenario specific cards, set up in two separate player fixed decks with unique characters, events etc. Stay tuned

There was the idea of doing an official "limited weaponry" Alien 3 scenario at some point, iirc.
I can't recall if the cards I made for Alien 3 where ever made with an idea like that in mind. I rolled Alien 3 into Cityscape to have Alien stuff in there, before I also added AVPR, so I never actually did a scenario for A3, the cityscape scenario I made was an AvPR/P2 sorta hybrid thingy. Maybe I'll take a look through my A3 stuff quick and see if there was anything I came up with regarding that idea, it could help give you some seed ideas.
EDIT: I did have a series of cards built with the idea of herding a target into the mold in lead works to deal environmental damage to them. Something like that could factor into the scenario. Either as a win condition or just a feature of the scenario, or the cards. Particularly if the idea is to kill a single alien without actually having any weapons.
EDIT 2: I personally made Golic uncontrollable, but he moves towards aliens and releases them if they are captured. If the scenario had ways to trap an alien, could use Golic as an option to free the alien. Like Golic always moves towards the Alien, and if the Alien is captured when Golic is at the same location, discard Golic to free the alien. You don't even need him to be a card, could just be a game concept for the scenario, like a token that moves around or something.
EDIT 3: I also made the Quinitricetyline a trap card. Thats the shit they spread around to try and burn the alien or whatever, but backfires. Possible win condition? Maybe easier than the lead works/mold, but at a risk of backfiring? or being easily disrupted by the alien?
EDIT 4: And Toxic Waste Disposal as a place to capture and lock up the alien.
