The plot actually looks interesting - a prequel for the Term series. I like to pretend that T3 never exists, just like how I pretend that Star Wars was a single Trilogy and the The Matrix was a stand-alone film.
Also, Vin Diesel and the Charlie Angel's director? Is this going to be a repeat of AvP? This movie better at least get an R rating.
I just read the T3 trivia at IMDB and it appears the movie could have been worse: The Dell Dude auditioned for John Connor and the Term was originally going to be able to turn gaseous.

I like the story but I haven't really seen enough of the guys work. As for the Connor Chronicles. I'll watch it but I don't expect much.

I looked at the preview on Fox's page, it seems to have potential. Any idea when they are going to start showing it?

SCC hasn't aired here yet, but i did see it. I downloaded it of Veoh i believe. It was better than i thought it would be. I'm not very fond of how the Connor's are portrayed though. I'm sick of John being a whiney bitch like in T3. And theres a major plot point that really made me go WTF!? in a bad way. Its really about as good as a terminator show can be. As for T4, that director's best movie is charlie's fucking angels. People toss him onto the same list as Uwe Boll and Paul WS Anderson. Hes a hack.

Wilks, you talking about Stirling's T2 books? Infiltrator, Rising Storm, Future War? Those are some of my favorite books, they kick so much ass. Some real creative additions to the Terminator mythos. Stirling writes really good apocalyptic stuff. His DIes the Fire series is fucking amazing also.

Looks like the show is coming out early aught-eight.
Regarding John "Whiny Bitch" Connor, I have this theory that "The" John Connor is not Little Johnny, but someone who knew him before he was terminated. He took up Little Johnny's identity to throw off Skynet, since he knew that Skynet would send back Terms to get an innocent kid and his family while never knowing who "The" JC truly was. It helps me explain why every incarnation of John Connor irritates me.

While I like that idea regarding T3 and SCC, I liked John in T2. I just think by now he should have toughened up and be preparing. Him, not Sarah. And, also, that makes T1 completely screwed up. Kyle isn't the General's father. And Sarah Connor is cool. Shes a helluva tough bitch, and I wouldn't want her effectively removed from relevancy.

It does not screw up the movies that I can see.
Besides being charismatic, Gen. Connor showed everyone how to destroy the machines (presumably because of the info John and Sarah got from the various time travelers). So, theoretically, someone with a good, strategic mind and charisma who can get the knowledge that John and Sarah have could fill that role. Sarah's role is still very relevant, as the Connors are who learn about the machines and how to beat them, and then pass on the knowledge. I would imagine whiny Johnny bites it, and Sarah teaches new John everything, including giving him the picture and telling him about Reese. Thus, Johnny could be obsolete, as long as 1) someone time travels to pass on the info about Skynet and 2) someone survives to tell future Gen. Connor. The time travelers throw the scent off the real "messiah" and pass on the info necessary to beat Skynet.
While I do not really believe this, it would be a fun twist.
As for T2 John, subject yourself to the censored, made-for-TV version, and then he will get on your nerves.

I am concerned with how they will depict the war. If this is early on after J-Day, and theres no death camps and theres already T-800s running around, especially with skin, I'll be pissed. The link i posted on the original post says its about John organizing the resistance, which is when he breaks people out of the camps. AND it mentions infiltrators, 2 things that are years apart. We should be getting T-70s or so.

What I am really interested in seeing is since John knows there are going to be Infiltrators, is he going to prepare the Resistance for them? If so, how is he going to convince them that the robots they are fighting are going to be nearly human? "Oh, a time traveler told me" doe not seem to cut it. Also, with the introduction of the Infiltrator, I hope they focus on it as a main character and how it subtlety tries to wiggle into the Resistance to assassinate some high level person, instead of just the "guns blazing" approach. Terms can afford to kill everyone they meet in the Past, since nothing can stop it (kind of), but in the Future, they would have to be careful, right?
