That would be a good idea. It would probably boost overall sales, because of people like me that don't want to spend money on the stuff they don't want. They would lose a little bit of their sales from people that were already buying stuff they didn't want, but in the long run I think it would be a good move for them.

Those look awesome. You should really pass those along to Decipher. The kind of straights they've been in the past few years, they could really use someone of your inherent CCG genius working for them.

Maybe they'll start hiring if FK works out for them, but right now, they're kind of holding on by a thread, it sounds like. The entire company is down to 7 employees, i think.

It makes me sad, because they made a lot of my favorite CCGs back in the day. I wish I felt the need to support Fight Klub, but between the fact that it cuts out stores, which affects me, and it has a bunch of stuff I just don't care about, I just can't justify the expenditure at this point. Its a great concept, though, and I hope it does well enough for them that they could get to a point where they could draw me in.

Sad how a great company can be nearly destroyed by one greedy bastard embezzling from them.

Hey, mrdomino, good news. Decipher's going to add a package deal to their site store, meant for game stores who want to stock the game. The site will no longer be the only way to get the game.

Introducing the Retail Package
You asked for it but Decipher went one better.
Cast your mind back to a few months ago when Decipher asked for some suggestions on what
the game needed. A strong opinion that was put forth was that we needed something tangible in
stores for retailers to sell. We suggested that perhaps Decipher released a starter deck for every few
sets, that way people could get started in store and purchase more cards online later. It looks like
Decipher decided to go one better and release an entire package to stores. Its called the retail package
and it will be available very soon on the online store for retailers to purchase at a wholesale price.
For USD $299 plus $20 Shipping and if you want it $20 Insurance it will contain 12 Kilos of
ONE, 8 Kilos of TWO, two sets of Black Beauty TWO and all the energy stones required for each Kilo
of ONE. This gives retailers a sizable quantity of stock for minimum outlay and is phenomenal value
for money.
This retail package is perfect for holding in store tournaments and events.

As this newsletter was being finalised, we have heard that there will be two versions of retail
packs available, due for release along with THREE. The first, “Retail Pack 1&2”, will have the Kilos
from ONE and TWO. The second, “Retail Pack 3”, will contain set THREE items.
There will also be a “starter” download and poster downloads made available at the same time. The
store will be updated shortly beforehand so that they can take orders so keep an eye out!

I'd like to add that, those kilos in the bulk package are around half-priced compared to buying them one at a time, like right now. It strikes me that I might be able to get Kilos cheaper at a brick-and-mortar store as opposed to the online store once this hits. Everyone wins.

Yeah, that's definitely something I'll be looking into for my store. Unfortunately, CCG's as a whole have just been doing terribly lately. The last one that did anything at all was Kingdom Hearts, and Fantasy Flight ruined that one by waiting 8 months between expansions.

I really wish they would hurry up and get those starter deck pdfs ready. I'd like to demo the game some around my shop to drum up some interest to make it worth getting the retail kit in, but the shopowner's not gonna just stock it cold turkey. Too many good games have come along in the past and failed for him to do that.

EDIT: Just went through most of their 'voting' thing, and noticed that Predator and Cpl. Dwayne Hicks have been added to it, if they weren't there to begin with.

Also, River Tam's picture is actually a picture of Cameron from TSCC. Heh.

Its my understanding that the starter deck PDFs are due for release shortly before set "Three" goes on sale. Three hits on the 21st, if I remember correctly.
